All our tuning is developed in house, or by one of our trusted partners. Tuning should be carried out on the dyno to achieve the best results; but this is not always possible due to customer budgets and other reasons. Due to this we cater for all customers offering the mobile service

Before any tuning is carried out your vehicle will receive a quick health check and diagnostics to ensure there are no obvious underlying issues. DPF checks are also carried out before tuning and if required we can carry out a forced regeneration and adaption adjustments.

Why Tune Automatic Gearboxes?

Tuning an automatic gearbox is completed by utilising the same processes for engine tuning, but instead of modifying the ECU changes are made in the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) which provides better performance and driveability by modifiying the TCU limits altering the gearbox characteristics.

Most vehicle makes and models now have automatic gearboxes, some better than others. The modern vehicles utilise the TCU to store data which we modifiy to improve the driveability, this communicates with the ECU through various sensors and calculates data for when the gear changes are best for performance and shift quality.

The alternative is to update the gearbox software, this is not a modification. The calibration data is updated to the same stock, newer software versions available at the dealers. This is possible by utilising specialist dealer level software or in some instances tuning equipment.
